Developed in close collaboration with leading French cultural institutions and first responders, OTEGO created FIREGUARD, a range of aluminized emergency covers for all types of artwork and valuable objects
These emergency covers protect against radiant heat, smoke and soot, and water. They are lightweight and easy to deploy. Available in several sizes, from small sculptures to large wall-hung paintings, FIREGUARD can be adapted to your specific settings, mountings, or installations.
Keep folded in its pouch, positioned near the object it protects, ready for immediate access.
Remove from the pouch, unfold, and place over the object.
Thoroughly cover the artwork to limit penetration of heat, water, and smoke. Secure using Velcro, FR cord, magnets, or telescopic sticks as needed.
- Radiant heat resistance: ISO 11612, C4 classification (highest available)
- Material: mineral fiber base with an advanced aluminum layer
- Weight: 135 g/m²
- Resistance against mist, sprinkler systems, firefighter extinguishing agents, and rain
- Smoke and soot resistant
- Ultra-lightweight and compact, requiring minimal personnel.
- Available in various sizes and shapes to fit almost all objects, with accessories like magnets, FR cords, or Velcro used in some cases
